Media Condition Rating System

Since rating the condition of a CD, DVD, game, book, etc. can be subjective, the following list is provided as a guide for how to state the quality of the item being listed.

Brand New: A brand new, unused, unopened & undamaged product in perfect condition. There are no holes, cuts or marks to the barcode or jewel case. The original packaging and all materials are included and in brand new condition.

Like New: Item looks as if it was just taken out of shrink wrap, no wear and tear, all facets of the product are intact.

Very Good: No damage at all to product cover (minor/subtle scuff marks, no scratching, no cracks or holes, minor wear on corners), cover art and liner notes included and in excellent condition, product box included, instructions included, teeth on disc tray undamaged, minimal wear and tear to exterior of item, item is usable with no flaws when used.

Good: Minor damage to product cover (easily visible scuff marks, scratching, no cracks or holes, apparent wear on corners), cover art and liner notes included but not perfect and no writing, product box included, instructions included, teeth on disc tray undamaged, minimal wear and tear to exterior of item, item is usable with no flaws when used.

Acceptable/Fair: Tear or hole in media packaging, packaging is falling apart, instructions not included, teeth on disc tray damaged, etc. Item must still be usable with no flaws when used.

Unacceptable: Someone will feel ripped off if they actually paid for it. The media has errors upon playback or is just plain unusable. Not even worth the effort to give away.
